Jeff co-founded his advertising and publishing company nearly three decades years ago in Telluride, Colorado, while following his dream to live, work and play in a mountain ski resort town. Skiing and mountain biking are his playtime passions along with boating on Jackson Lake with his wife Jill and their four girls.

A true mountain girl, Kristal was born in Telluride, Colorado. She studied graphic design in Arizona before founding Kristal Graphics in 2004. Kristal has been an integral part of J.C. Bush Creative Media for more than 20 years. She’s helped the company publish numerous award-winning magazines and guides. When she isn’t making words and images harmonize on a page, Kristal and her husband, Jon, love traveling, golfing, camping, and spending time with friends and family.

Originally from Philadelphia, Connie made her way to the Tetons via Kauai, Hawaii, to be near her family in Victor, Idaho. She is an avid yogini who teaches Hatha yoga in Jackson, Victor, and Kauai, where she escapes for a while each winter. Connie enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering for Grand Teton Music Festival, Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding Association, and other local nonprofits.

Heather fell in love with mountain-town living after moving West in 2010. She studied journalism and spent 15 years as a writer, editor, and digital content manager in newsrooms before building a freelance business. When not chasing after her toddler, Heather spends her free time mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, seeing live music, traveling, and scuba diving in Utila, Honduras, an island her family considers their second home.

Evie is a writer and editor who lives for cheap travel. She’s skied out of a camper van in the Japanese Alps, overcome dengue fever in Indonesia, lived in a tent on a beach in Martinique, and studied yoga in India—but she keeps coming back to the American West. Evie studied journalism at the University of Denver and publishing at New York University. She also likes wooing neighborhood cats, skiing, and trail running.

A 34-year Jackson Hole resident, David combines his skills as a professional photographer, mountain guide, and ski patroller in order to maintain an active outdoor lifestyle. In his spare time, he enjoys working with local nonprofits through education and photography, and exploring lesser-known mountain regions.

Kat was raised in the box canyon of Telluride, Colorado and the sacred Tetons. She has always had a deep appreciation for staggering mountain ranges, the adventures that happen in them, and the communities surrounding them. Kat runs a painting business in Telluride and in her free time, works on her off-grid homestead with her partner, plays with her pups, rides her bike, and skis.

Michelle is a freelance writer and producer whose work has appeared in everything from local publications to The New York Times. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Michelle has called the Tetons home for the past six years. Her favorite writing assignments usually involve food, and her last meal on earth would include Charleston-style shrimp and grits and a glass of Barolo.

Chris is most well known for his high-angle mountain photography. A former hotshot firefighter in Alaska and a longtime Exum Mountain Guide in the Tetons, Chris has used a rare mix of grit and skill to capture images of mountain athletes from Jimmy Chin to Jeremy Jones in locations from Greenland to the Andes to Alaska to the Himalayas.

Susan Gilmore was born and raised in Colorado before moving to Laramie, Wyo., at 17 years old. Susan graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor’s degree in English. After receiving her master’s from the University of Michigan she again returned to the Cowboy State to work in the archives at the American Heritage Center in Laramie. Shortly after that she began her career in journalism, eventually becoming the news editor for the Wyoming Tribune Eagle in Cheyenne. Currently, Susan freelances for publications and consults for museums across the Rocky Mountain region. When not working, she can be found hiking the trails with her dog, Charlie, or cross-country skiing in the winter.

Emmie grew up in Jackson, and quickly encountered the powerful draw of the mountains. She’s worked as an EMT, ski coach, medical assistant, and river guide and enjoys writing about the role humans play within the local ecology. Her favorite ways to experience Jackson’s remarkable ecosystem are through trail running, backcountry skiing, elk hunting, and boating the Snake with friends and family.

Mark has called Wyoming home for the past 30 years, with the last 25 of those being in Jackson. He spends most of his time photographing most anything outdoors, whether it be at his day job with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department or out on misadventures with friends and family.

Brigid is a writer and skier who has been based in Jackson, Wyoming for a decade and a half. She began solely writing as a way to fund ski adventures and other travel epics around the globe, but story-telling has always been a passion. She is regularly published in a variety of national publications and in addition to the characters and adventure in the ski world, her work now often covers environmental and conservation topics and other aspects of mountain culture.

If anything is true about Caleigh, it’s that she fills her time to the brim. She is a personal trainer as well as a full time Firefighter/EMT for the Jackson Fire Department. In her free time, she plays rugby, is a passionate dog sitter, loves skiing and climbing, and obviously finds time to raft, hike, bike, and freelance on the side.
