Make the rest of summer magic with the Grand Teton Music Festival
In 1964, something magic began in Jackson Hole: the Grand Teton Music Festival. In an effort to enhance the cultural landscape of Jackson Hole, this incredible organization began bringing world class musicians and music to the mountains. Now in their 64th season, they've only expanded into more incredible and diverse programming.
And August is packed with opportunities to experience all that Grand Teton Music Festival has to offer! Get out your calendar, get your tickets, and get ready to enjoy phenomenal performances all month long.
August 4-8, 2025
This week at the Grand Teton Music Festival starts with a recital by pianist Clayton Stephenson on August 5, pianist Andrea Lam performs on the Benoliel Chamber Music Series on August 6 and the Gateway Series concludes with the John Pizzarelli Trio on August 7. Festival Orchestra concerts on August 8 & 9 feature Andrea Lam playing Mozart and mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke in a world premiere by Alex Turley, conducted by Sir Donald Runnicles.
August 11-16
This week at the Grand Teton Music Festival features the finale of the Benoliel Chamber Music Series on August 13 with music by Brahms, Shostakovich, Dvořák and Danny Elfman. James Ehnes plays the Brahms Violin Concerto with the Festival Orchestra, conducted by Sir Donald Runnicles, on August 15 & 16.
August 22 & 23 - Hansel & Gretel
Wrap up the 2025 season with an operatic performance of Hansel & Gretel at the Grand Teton Music Festival. Stranger Danger! A lost brother and sister learn important lessons about self-reliance and when to trust their instincts over their stomachs. Maestro Runnicles and the Festival Orchestra continue their ambitious annual opera tradition with Engelbert Humperdinck’s fairy tale for all ages, complete with props, staging and stunning projections. It promises to be fun for all ages!

Musical Adventures and More!
Evening concerts are hardly the only way to experience the spectacular talent at the heart of the Grand Teton Music Festival. Check out the full lineup of Musical Adventures — Led by Stoner Family Education Curator Meaghan Heinrich, these free events are fun, informative and engaging music sessions for young children and their adult caretakers. Geared for listeners ages one through five, classes are also fun and accessible for all ages.
They're held in a few locations around the area on different days, so check the full calendar to find one that's closest to you!
Listeners of all ages will appreciate the Grand Teton Music Festival's On the Road series, too! Featuring a variety of trios and quartets from the orchestra, and hosted in a constellation of locations across the valley, these free concerts are a great way to experience musical magic.
