A roundup of local events celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States
Summer/Fall 2026
From pancake breakfasts and patriotic parades to live music, rodeo action, and fireworks over the mountains, Jackson Hole knows how to celebrate the Fourth of July. This year’s holiday weekend brings classic small-town traditions, Western flair, family-friendly festivities, and plenty of ways to soak up summer in the Tetons.
Whether you’re planning a full day downtown, heading to Teton Village for music and fireworks, or looking for a memorable evening under the Wyoming sky, here are some of the highlights happening around Jackson Hole this Independence Day.
Start the Day with Pancakes, a Race, and the Parade
The Fourth of July begins early in Jackson Hole, with several beloved traditions kicking off the day.
The Jackson Hole Lions Club Pancake Breakfast returns to Town Square on July 3 and 4 from 8 to 11 a.m., offering a classic community breakfast before the day’s festivities begin. For those looking to get moving first, the Skinny Skis 4th of July 10K, 5K, and 5K walk begins at 8 a.m. at Owen Bircher Park in Wilson.

In downtown Jackson, the annual Fourth of July Parade celebrates Western culture, ranching history, independence, and community. Expect riders on horseback, classic cars, decorated floats, local first responders, dancers, performers, and plenty of red, white, and blue. The parade route begins at the Teton County Fairgrounds, travels through downtown Jackson, passes Town Square, and ends on Willow Street. The parade begins around 10 a.m., and spectators are encouraged to arrive early to find a good spot along the route.
Spend the Weekend in Teton Village
Teton Village will be in full celebration mode July 3–5 with Red, White & Tunes, a free three-day Independence Day event featuring live music, local vendors, family-friendly activities, and classic Americana contests, all set beneath the Tetons.
Concerts on the Commons will bring free live music to the Village throughout the weekend, with performances leading into fireworks on July 3 and July 4 at 10 p.m. It’s a festive option for families, visitors, and anyone looking to extend the holiday beyond a single day.
Enjoy Music Under the Summer Sky
The Grand Teton Music Festival will also help set the holiday soundtrack with outdoor concerts at the Center for the Arts Lawn in downtown Jackson from July 2–4. The lineup includes a free Family Jam on July 3 and the Jayne & Al Hilde, Jr. Patriotic Pops concert on July 4 at 7 p.m.
Patriotic Pops features the Festival Orchestra in a festive program of patriotic and American music. Reserved seating is available, and lawn seating is free.

Catch a Western Classic
For a dose of Old West entertainment, head to Town Square for the Jackson Hole Shootout at 6 p.m. This long-running Jackson tradition brings frontier theatrics to the heart of downtown and is free to watch.
Later in the evening, the Jackson Hole Rodeo offers another classic Western experience. The Fourth of July rodeo begins at 8 p.m. at the Teton County Fairgrounds, with gates opening earlier in the evening. The rodeo runs rain or shine and is a lively way to spend the holiday evening before the fireworks begin.
End the Night with Fireworks
The Fourth of July ends with a bang in Jackson Hole. Fireworks are scheduled at Teton Village on July 3 and July 4 at 10 p.m., lighting up the sky at the base of the Tetons.
On July 4, Snow King Mountain will also host an evening celebration near the base area, with live music, food trucks, beverages, and fireworks at approximately 10 p.m. It’s one of the most popular ways to close out Independence Day in town.
