National Park Access & Winter Adventures
Grand Teton National Park
While most park roads are closed to vehicles in winter, US Highway 89 remains open (weather permitting), with access to the Bradley–Taggart Lake Trailhead via the Inner Road. From there, visitors can enjoy excellent cross-country skiing and snowshoeing amid quiet, snow-covered landscapes. Facilities and visitor services are limited during winter months. Additional up-to-date information is always available at the Grand Teton National Park website.
Yellowstone National Park
Winter access transforms Yellowstone into a quieter, more intimate experience. The West, South, and East entrances are open only to guided snowmobile and snowcoach travel, while the road from Mammoth Hot Springs to Cooke City remains open to vehicles year-round, offering dramatic winter scenery and wildlife viewing. February Weather Outlook

Jackson Hole Weather
February often brings a calmer winter rhythm, with cold nights, brighter days, and fewer crowds. Seasonal outlooks suggest near-average temperatures and a mix of sunny stretches with intermittent snowfall, creating classic winter conditions without the intensity of early-season storms. While we aren't swimming in snow at the moment (at least on the valley floor), forecasts are hopeful for some more substantial accumulation later in the month.
Teton Valley Weather
Teton Valley can expect continued cold, wintry conditions with consistent snow cover and increasing sunshine as days lengthen. February typically balances crisp mornings with brighter afternoons, supporting Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and the slower pace of midwinter life. Like the Jackson Hole side, snow in the valley isn't currently deep, but hopes endure for additional snow accumulation throughout February.
